Terms of use
Using Two Timezones means accepting these terms. They are deliberately short, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
Read this before launch
This page is a working template, not legal advice. It must be reviewed by a lawyer in the operator’s jurisdiction before the site goes live — the enforceability of a liability cap, and what may lawfully be excluded at all, varies by country and by consumer-protection regime. Passages marked [REVIEW] need a real answer first.
Who you are dealing with
Two Timezonesis an independent publication about relationships that cross borders. It is operated by [REVIEW: legal entity name and registered address]. “We” and “us” below mean that operator; “you” means anyone reading the site or subscribing to the newsletter.
Acceptable use
You are welcome to read anything here, and to share it. Specifically:
- Yes: link to us, quote a paragraph or two with attribution and a link back, print a page for your own use, send an article to a friend or a forum.
- No: republishing articles in full or in substantial part, translating and reposting them, scraping the site in bulk, reselling the content, or ingesting it into a dataset used to train generative models. Automated access that degrades the service for other readers is not permitted either.
- Also no: using the site or its material to defraud, harass, impersonate or stalk anyone — including using our safety writing as a checklist for looking more convincing.
Text and original images are owned by us or used under licence. Names and logos belonging to other companies remain theirs.
The content is general information
Everything published here is general information for a general audience. It is not legal, immigration, medical, psychological, therapeutic or financial advice, it is not a substitute for a professional who knows your circumstances, and reading it creates no professional relationship of any kind. Immigration and marriage rules in particular change without notice and turn on facts we know nothing about — use official government sources and a licensed adviser.
We publish carefully, and the standards we hold ourselves to are set out in the editorial policy. We still cannot promise that every page is complete, current or free of error. If you find one, tell us and we will fix it.
No guarantee of outcomes
Nothing here is a prediction about your life. We do not guarantee that a relationship will work, that a visa will be granted, that a scam will be recognised in time, that money will be recovered, or that any app, service or approach we describe will produce a particular result for you. Decisions you make after reading an article are yours.
Third-party links and advertising
The site links out constantly — to government pages, research, tools and services — and it carries advertising, some of which is served by third-party networks and chosen by them rather than by us. We do not control those sites, their content, their prices or their privacy practices, and a link or an ad is not an endorsement. Any dealing you have with a third party is between you and them.
Some outbound links earn us a commission; pages carrying them say so. If an advertiser on this site is running something deceptive, email hello@twotimezones.com and we will pull it. What we refuse to accept in the first place is listed on the advertising page.
Availability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, and we may change, move or retire any part of it. Where we retire an article we generally correct or redirect rather than delete, for the reasons given in the editorial policy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or lost opportunity, for financial loss arising from a decision you made after reading something here, or for the acts of any third party — including advertisers, linked sites, and anyone you meet online.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and any non-excludable statutory consumer rights you have. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when we last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
